How the warming cream works

Capsaicin activates warmth-sensing receptors in the skin and produces a localized warming sensation. The intensity, onset, and duration of that sensation vary from person to person.

Use safely

• Read and follow the directions and warnings on the package.
• Use the included glove and apply only to intact external skin.
• Avoid eyes, mouth, mucous membranes, and irritated or broken skin.
• Do not use with a heating pad, tight bandage, or immediately before or after bathing.
• Stop use if severe irritation or an unexpected reaction occurs.

CHS and capsaicin research

Topical capsaicin has been studied in people with suspected cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome (CHS), but the available evidence is limited. It does not establish that CHSSOS treats or cures CHS.

Persistent vomiting and dehydration can be medical emergencies. Seek professional care when symptoms are severe or ongoing. Stopping cannabis use is central to managing suspected CHS.
