Stop use and get advice
Stop use if severe burning, blistering, swelling, persistent irritation, or another unexpected reaction occurs. Follow the package instructions and seek professional care when appropriate.
CHS requires medical attention
Persistent vomiting, inability to keep fluids down, severe abdominal pain, confusion, fainting, or signs of dehydration can require urgent care. CHSSOS is not a substitute for emergency care or medical evaluation. Stopping cannabis use is central to managing suspected CHS.
Evidence statement
Researchers have studied topical capsaicin in people with suspected CHS, but the available evidence is limited and does not establish that this specific product treats CHS.
